Michał Szpak announces the new album for September 2018. Meanwhile, in the last days of May, another piece of this material was released: “King of the Season”. This is the second single from the upcoming album, following “Don’t Poison Your Heart”, which premiered in November last year.
This time we get a climatic song with blues guitars in the background with a rather hypnotic rhythm. It brings to mind lazy, hot summer and warm beaches. However, the text layer has little to do with carefree summer. Its overtones are quite bitter, it concerns a short moment of fame and loneliness. The first of the singles presented by the artist raised the problems of online “hate” disturbing our natural energy, so the new album, at least lyrically, for now promises to be rather dark.
